Silixa to present on production monitoring improvements from next generation DAS in Aberdeen on 3 October 2017

Garth Naldrett, Silixa’s Chief Product Officer, will be presenting the latest advances in distributed fibre optic sensing and the use of these for production profiling at SPE Aberdeen’s 3rd Inwell Flow Surveillance & Control Seminar in Aberdeen, Scotland on 3 October 2017.

He will introduce Carina® Sensing, present the step change in measurement realised with this new sensing system, and demonstrate the opportunities presented by this technology for production flow analysis. Garth will also discuss the use of distributed temperature and acoustics, and show how combined output of these data types can be interpreted to constrain production flow models.

Silixa to present on the use of fiber optics for microseismic monitoring in Denver, CO on 29 August, 2017

Garth Naldrett, Silixa’s Chief Product Officer, will be presenting on the use of intelligent Distributed Acoustic Sensing for microseismic monitoring at the SPE Applied Technology Workshop on Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing in Denver, Colorado on 29 August, 2017.

He will discuss how detection and localisation of microseismic events improves operator understanding concerning subsurface hydraulic fracturing dynamics. Further, he will demonstrate how use of this information allows for optimisation of completion design and well spacing.
