Well integrity management

Silixa exhibiting at SPE Symposium: Well Integrity Management on 21–22 May 2024 in Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Visit us at the at SPE Symposium: Well Integrity Management at stand N°15 on 21–22 May in Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will be showcasing our distributed sensing-based well integrity management solutions.

Silixa has been very active across the GCC on critical projects in both O&G and CCUS projects – working with E&P operators and our industry partners to diagnose, remediate and continuously monitor the integrity of critical production, injection and sequestration completions.

Good well integrity monitoring is vital to eliminate the risk of uncontrolled release of formation fluids throughout the life of the well. When well parameters point to the failure of a barrier it is necessary to identify the source of the failure in order to plan remediation, or to demonstrate the continued integrity of the barrier for normal operations. Distributed fibre optic sensing offers a unique way to quickly and efficiently detect the fluid movement which may indicate barrier failure.

Silixa’s  iDAS and ULTIMA DTS can detect leaks or flow behind casing without the need to intervene in the well, utilising pre-exisiting  fibre optic cables. The optical fibre behaves as a sensor array so the entire fibre path is surveyed simultaneously allowing well integrity issues at undetermined depths to be detected and localised almost immediately.

Wells, without pre-installed fibres,  can utilise Carina 100Xlog, the high-efficiency retrievable fibre optic well logging service that visualizes entire well dynamics in real-time much more rapidly than conventional technologies, reducing deferred production.
