See us at the 5th Annual International Meeting for Applied Geoscience and Energy (IMAGE), hosted by SEG and AAPG on 25–28 August 2025 in Houston, Texas.
We’re proud to announce that Frantisek Stanek and Sinem Yavuz, Senior Geophysicists at Silixa, will be presenting groundbreaking works in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS).
The ongoing transition towards sustainable energy sources drives operators to explore more renewable energy solutions. Geothermal energy holds significant potential, but accurate subsurface data is essential for successful exploration.
Frantisek Stanek’s presentation, DAS VSP within Hybrid Coiled Tubing Intervention Program for Geothermal Exploration, will present how Hybrid Coiled Tubing Technology (HCTT) and fiber optic sensing can be used for cost-effective geothermal exploration. (Session: Innovative Applications 2, August 27, from 8:50 AM, Room: 371B)
Sinem Yavuz will present on Near-surface variations captured by continuous DAS and Surface Orbital Vibrators monitoring. This presentation will explore insights from the Otway International Test Centre on seismic data repeatability and autonomous monitoring. She will reveal how the results emphasize the importance of continuous seismic monitoring for understanding the near-surface effects, which can vary considerably over short and long timescales. (Session: Surface Seismic and Interferometry, August 26, from 2:35 PM, Room: 371B)
These presentations highlight the transformative role of distributed sensing in geotechnical and reservoir monitoring.
