Silixa is proud to have been named a winner in the U.S. Navy’s BlueTIDE 2025 Prize Challenge, securing top recognition in the Mobile & Stationary Sensors focus area.
Our winning solution integrates Silixa’s Carina® Sensing System with Subvision AB’s advanced fiber array to deliver wide-area, real-time acoustic surveillance without any in-water electronics or emissions. The system passively detects, classifies, and localizes subsea activity to enhance maritime domain awareness and protect critical undersea infrastructure.
This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of FMV (The Swedish Defence Matériel Administration), which funded the development of the advanced fiber array; Subvision AB and its parent company Reach Subsea, who led array manufacturing; and Akitemos Solutions, who coordinated partnerships among FMV, Subvision, and Silixa.
