Intervention Day 2026

Silixa to present at Intervention Day, the Interactive Technology Event, hosted by Baker Hughes on 3 June 2026

The energy industry faces an urgent need for innovation and accelerated progress due to increasing global energy demand.

Baker Hughes’ Intervention Day, to be held in Stavanger on 3 June 2026, is a specialist energy-sector event that brings together oil and gas operators, service companies, technology partners, engineers, and technical leaders. The purpose of the event is to showcase innovation and best practice in well intervention.

Erick Jimenez, Silixa’s Senior Petrophysics Data Analyst, will present a well integrity campaign focused on tubing-to-annulus communication in deviated oil producers. His presentation will outline a DAS and DTS well integrity campaign addressing tubing-to-annulus communication in two offshore deviated oil producers.

During the project, two offshore wells relied on gas lift as their primary artificial lift system; however, compromised tubing integrity severely disrupted operations. The presence of tubing leaks prevented effective gas injection and allowed production fluids to migrate into the annular space, ultimately disabling the artificial lift systems and halting production.

The presentation will reveal how continuous, whole-well coverage of fibre optic sensing enabled rapid diagnosis of these failures, and how these high-definition insights provided actionable intelligence to confidently manage the integrity issues and outline strategies to restore production efficiency.
