Be sure to register for our upcoming webinar on 25 June 2025 at 15.00 pm (GMT+1). We will be presenting the results of logging a gas condensate producing well using distributed fiber optic sensing technology.
Our presentation will highlight the role that distributed fiber optic sensing can provide to better understand variations in production along a horizontal gas condensate producer, as well as interference effects from neighboring wells.
A multi-stage horizontal gas condensate producer within the Montney Formation was logged with Distributed Acoustic (DAS) and Temperature Sensing (DTS) and Distributed Strain Sensing (DSS), on a permanently installed fiber optic cable.
The results show that distributed fiber optic sensing data acquired downhole can provide a better understanding of the relationships between the reservoir, wellbore dynamics and the completion. Utilizing these data and their analysis will increase the optimization speed between different generations of completions and improve efficiencies for the next development without having to wait for long term production data.
