Silixa to attend EAGE GeoTech — The 3rd EAGE Geoscience Technologies and Applications Conference on 8–10 April 2024 in The Hague, The Netherlands

Connect with us at EAGE’s GeoTech Conference on 8 ‑10 April 2024 in The Hague, The Netherlands. The event will bring together leading experts in geoscience, reservoir engineering, and data science to tackle some of the major challenges facing the industry.

EAGE Geotech will host two dedicated workshops, the 4th EAGE Workshop on Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing and the 4th EAGE Workshop on Practical Reservoir Monitoring.

The 4th EAGE Workshop on Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing, co-chaired by Mahmoud Faradiroushan, Silixa’s Executive Director, will mainly focus on geoscience and engineering applications utilizing distributed acoustic (DAS), temperature (DTS) and strain (DSS) systems, including new emerging fields of application.

The technical programme will contain presentations on advancements in instrumentation including optical sensors, applications, and technology integration. A special focus will also be placed on current challenges, business impacts and evolving best practices.

Athena Chalari, Silixa’s Business Development Manager, will deliver a presentation on Distributed Fibre Optic Sensing for Geothermal Applications on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 8.30 am. Her presentation will reveal how Silixa’s permanently installed integrated fibre optic sensing-based solution provides flexible, multi-parameter measurements for the exploration and exploitation of the full range of geothermal resources, from shallow borehole, ground source heat to hydrothermal geothermal projects and Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS). This reliable, long-term geothermal reservoir monitoring solution not only offers a cost-effective and reliable way to maximise operational efficiency but also helps operators comply with legal requirements.
