Silixa to present at the First Asia Pacific Workshop on fibre-optic sensing in Perth, Australia on 13–15 November 2018

Silixa will be presenting at the First Asia Pacific Workshop on fibre-optic sensing in Perth, Australia on 13–15 November 2018.

Mahmoud Farhadiroushan, Silixa’s Executive Director, will present on Deployments and Applications of Distributed and Engineered Acoustic Sensors  on 13 November 2018 at 14.00 pm.

His presentation will focus on the advancements in distributed acoustic sensing, in particular Silixa’s Carina® Sensing System, the engineered distributed fibre optic sensor that that has 100x better signal to noise ratio (SNR) than other DAS systems due to its advanced sensing architecture.

On 14 November 2018 at 13.50pm, Liviu Grindei, Silixa’s Senior Geophysicist, will present the preliminary results of a resent case study, titled Tracing CO2 Injected Footprint on Distributed Acoustic Sensing Vertical Seismic Profiling (DAS VSP) Data.

Silixa’s intelligent Distributed Acoustic Sensor (iDAS™) was used for CO2 injection monitoring in a pinneacle-reef reservoir in Montana, USA. The results prove that Silixa’s iDAS is a cost-effective tool for 4D seismic surveys, providing geophone-equivalent data.
