Pierpaolo’s presentation will give an overview of Silixa’s distributed fiber optic sensing-based CCS monitoring solution, Carina® CarbonSecure™ , that plays and essential role in achieving international emissions targets by enabling safe CCS development, providing reliable monitoring cost-effectively throughout the lifetime of the project.
Carina CarbonSecure is a reservoir management tool deployable to assess the viability of geological formations for carbon storage during site characterization; to monitor microseismic activity during the injection phase; to ensure well and storage integrity when injecting CO2; and to provide 4D monitoring of the CO2 plume migration throughout the lifetime of the facility. The system ensures maximum safety through the various stages of CCS development and can be used without maintenance for decades in line with mandated CCS monitoring periods.
The Europe CCUS & Hydrogen Decarbonisation Summit will bring together decarbonisation policy makers and industry and innovators and will address approaches for accelerating the rollout of innovative decarbonising technologies.
